'Big wing' Global Hawk takes to the air
Article Abstract:
The 'big wing' RQ-4 Block 20 Global Hawk unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flew across California from Palmdale facility of Northrop Grumman to Edwards Air Force Base on its maiden flight. The U.S. Broad Area Maritime Surveillance (BAMS) programme and German Euro Hawk project are the two important international programmes contested by the second generation Global Hawk ddesign, quite different from the earlier RQ-4A model.
