Guardian W joins CREW ranks
Article Abstract:
Selex Communications of the UK has disclosed the details of the latest equipment that is based on the dismounted counter radio-controlled Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Electronic Warfare (CREW) system. The Selex Guardian IED inhibitor's latest version is Guardian W, which is a low-power, low-band manpack that can be rapidly switched to the vehicle role using a clip-in adaptor set with appropriate shock mounts and antenna installation.

Harris expands its inventory of unattended sensor systems
Article Abstract:
Harris unveiled the Silent Watch unattended ground system (UGS) sensor, which uses a combination of acoustic/seismic passive infrared and imaging sensors produced by SenTech Inc and Eagle Telonics, at the AUSA show in Washington in October 2005. The feeds come from the HEO3 lightweight, directional acoustic-seismic sensor capable of detecting, tracking and classifying military or civilian vehicles and personnel.
