Navy League of the United States Maritime policy 2004 synopsis
Article Abstract:
The Navy and Marine Corps provide the full spectrum of precise, responsive, and persistent combat capabilities to US' nine combatant commands, including the Central Command, Pacific Command, and the Joint Forces Command. The Navy League of the United States believes that to provide for the common defense is, and must always be, the most important responsibility of the federal government.

Service experts eye 'leap ahead' in mine warfare capabilities
Article Abstract:
Mine warfare is getting more resources and a new road map to combat the challenges, as mines are turning out to be top threats. A remote minehunting system, which is modular, unmanned and is capable of being employed off multiple platforms will be deployed by surface ships of U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to search for mines.
