Increasing Afghan IED threat gives forces cause for concern
Article Abstract:
The number of killings in Afghanistan as a result of Improved Explosive Devices (IEDs) is increasing and there is a consensus that insurgents and terrorists carrying out asymmetric attacks in Afghanistan are getting better and becoming more technically competent. A report on the increasing use of impoverished explosive devices and suicide bombs and the reasons behind the rise in their effectiveness is presented.
