Holding the ultimate high ground: Space as the military crest
Article Abstract:
Outer space is becoming the ultimate high ground of U.S. military operations, with command and control, communications, targeting and navigation increasingly relying on space. The Marine Corps should not consider space as an area of operations for the Air Force, but pursue the Corps' interests in space in areas of evolutionary improvements in global positioning system (GPS), satellite communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

Article Abstract:
Off-the-shelf wargames, like as tactical decision games (TDG), can be utilized as training tools for the Marine Corps, when time and resources are constrained. High-level simulations are excellent training tools for joint strategic operations, as they can be focused on specific objectives.
