New challenges for ground EW: democratized jamming
Article Abstract:
The U.S. Marine Corps plans to broaden its airborne electronic warfare capabilities by introducing an electronic attack (EA) capability on its unmanned air vehicles (UAV). The agency has conducted a tactical demonstration in the Iraq-Afghanistan theater of an EA payload on a Pioneer UAV. It also plans to conduct a Joint Capabilities Technology Demonstration (JCTD) in 2008.
