DOD, services in 'urgent' embrace of virtual training
Article Abstract:
The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and the military services are transforming the way they train their soldiers by giving them live and virtual training to sharpen their skills. The lessons learned from Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan during 2001 and 2002 and from Operation Iraqi Freedom shows the urgency for embracing operational and training transformation.

The secrets of centric
Article Abstract:
The United States military has achieved mixed results in initial forays using network centric warfare, in applying new technologies in its theory of warfare. Strategists, however, are concerned that the services are focused on technological advances and are not giving due consideration to changes needed in organizations and the methods of processing information.
