Hydrographic survey vessel
Article Abstract:
Hong Leong Lurssen Shipyard Sdn Bhd of Malaysia won the RM100-mil supply contract for the Royal Malaysian Navy's (RMN) hydrographic survey ship on Dec 27, 1995. The company, which supplied the older KD Mutiara in 1977, is expected to deliver the KD Perantau in late 1997. The RMN's newest hydrographic survey ship, which is being constructed using the design supplied by Kroger Werft of Germany, will replace the original KD Perantau that was decommissioned by the navy in 1990.

The Hydrographic office of the Polish Navy
Article Abstract:
The historical background and the main tasks of the Hydrographic Service of the Polish Navy are described. The two basic roles of the Hydrographic Office of the Polish Navy (HOPN) are that the HOPN plays the role of the National Hydrographic, Charting and Aids to Navigation Service and as a military institution.
