Article Abstract:
The highly successful operations of the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force (SETAF) in establishing a Joint Task Force (JTF) to support military forces of Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) to prevent a humanitarian disaster and create a safe environment for the humanitarian organizations to resume operations in Liberia is detailed. During the two-month period, a peace agreement was implemented, which helped the United Nations and the private humanitarian organizations to start the badly needed relief work.
