KZO enters series production
Article Abstract:
STN Atlas Electronik GmbH has been awarded a contract by the German Federal Office for Defense Technology and Procurement (BWB) for the series preparation and series production of eight KZO Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) systems. The contract is valued at about DM500 million. Each KZO system is comprised of two ground units and ten air vehicles, including an option. The KZO, which is the fruit of a bilateral cooperation program between Germany and France, is designed to detect and exactly determine the location of targets through the use of thermal imagers and zoom lens.

IPTN wins UAE MPA programme
Article Abstract:
IPTN of Indonesia has been selected by the UAE Navy to supply four maritime patrol and ASW aircraft in a contract worth at the range of $150 million. Acting as the main contractor for the programme, the firm will provide four CN-235-200 MPA twin-turboprop aircraft. The plane features a Thomson-CSF AMASCO 300 Airborne Maritime Situation Control System and the nose-mounted OCEAN MASTER 100 search radar. The platform also includes the CASA CN-235 PERSUADER and the Bombardier TRITON 300.
