Greece launches Strategic Defence Review 2000

Prof Margarita Methiopoulos, Senior Adviser for the European and North American Markets at BAe Systems, has been appointed as head of an international commission that will conduct the Greek Ministry of Defense's Strategic Defense Review 2000. The commission will focus attention on key aspects such as Greece's defense strategy in the new security environment. The review will also focus on the restructuring of the Hellenic Armed Forces, its military capabilities within NATO and the ESDI context.
