L-3 spotlights threats from the deep with self-defence sonar
Article Abstract:
L-3 Communications ELAC Nautik has designed a ship self-defense sonar solution to tackle underwater threats possible during peacekeeping operations, which might be combat divers, swimmers and mines. Two possible configurations of the system, based on NDS 3070 Vanguard navigation and detection sonar, facilitate the alert of the operators on board the ship by an automatic alarm based on track analysis algorithms.
