Point break
Article Abstract:
A new generation of ship defense missiles are being developed to keep pace with advances in antiship technology. Among other enhancements, new ship defense systems have longer range and expanded engagement envelopes, an ability to engage crossing targets and phased array target illumination for targeting multiple simultaneous threats. Side-by-side with the development of new systems is an effort to radically upgrade point-defense missile systems dating as far back as the 1970s.
