Low-altitude defense for priority targets against evolving threats
Article Abstract:
The effectiveness of a class of anti-missile weapons, called the Lower-Tier systems, intended to operate at lower altitudes and shorter ranges for defense of priority targets is discussed. An assessment of the system indicates that the short-range point-defense concept is technically feasible and operationally desirable.
