Major combat operations end in Iraq
Article Abstract:
The American President George W. Bush on May 1, 2003 announced that major combat operations in Iraq are over and that the United States and coalition forces had prevailed. Further, he stated that major help is still required in order to bring law and order to the country, to pursue the prior regime's leaders and to search for weapons for mass destruction.

Washington report: President requests $81.9 billion supplemental funding
Article Abstract:
US President George W. Bush has submitted to Congress a supplemental funding request worth $81.9 billion on 14th February 2005 to fund the ongoing war on terrorism and other emergency measures. The Department of Defense would be receiving $74.9 billion of the funds, while $36.3 would go to fund the combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Winning Iraqi hearts and minds
Article Abstract:
The campaign led by the U.S.-led coalition to win Iraqi hearts and minds has achieved very little success as of January 2005. The coalition has spent million of dollars to create jobs, engage in reconstruction projects, and basic utilities but despite of this Iraqi people feel that they have a bleak future.
