Marine Prowlers as a multimission platform
Article Abstract:
The EA-GB Marine Prowler is equipped with an electronic warfare platform which can function in the role of a tactical air coordinator (airborne) (TAC(A)). The aircraft has a crew size of four, three available radios, endurance time of two hours on station time and the inherent electronic warfare capability. As a (TAC(A)), the EA-GBS coordinates the action of combat aircraft engaged in close support of ground forces.

LAV-AD: a highly mobile air defense platform with an added punch
Article Abstract:
The US Marine Corps is deploying a new light armored vehicle-air defense (LAV-AD) variant designed to provide low-altitude, close-in, surface-to- air fire and surface-to-surface fir in support of Marine air-ground forces. The new LAV-AD is armed with the Stinger missile and the five- barreled GAU-12(U) 25mm Gatling Gun. The platform also features two on- board enhanced position locating grid reference systems.

Article Abstract:
The capabilities of the General Motors Defense light armored vehicle equipped with the Delco/Royal Ordinance Defense 120mm Armored Mortar System (LAV-AMS) are discussed. The LAV-AMS' ability to provide an enhanced fire support system is assessed.
