Brent Scowcroft to receive Marshall Medal

The Association of the U.S. Army has selected Lt. Gen. Brent Scowcroft, U.S. Air Force retired, to receive the George Catlett Marshall Medal, the associationEs highest honor, for the year 2003. The retired Air Force General and national security advisor to two presidents was selected due to his quiet yet passionate defense of American interests and unending contributions to the nation.

Citations are presented for all the soldiers in the U.S. Army who received the Medal of Honor for service during the three-year commemoration of the Korean War. Thus, acknowledgements given to the soldiers William Thompson, Charles W. Turner, Travis E. Watkins and Ernest E. West are described.
