NATO ACCS LOC1 contract signed
Article Abstract:
Air Command Systems International (ACSI) has won a $500-million contract for the NATO Air Command and Control System - Level of Capability 1 (ACCS LOC1). Under the deal, ACSI will provide NATO with a fully interoperable, common air operations command and control system to support all offensive and defensive operations. ACCS LOC1 will also be utilized in military air traffic control, command and control resource management and airspace management for NATO members. ACSI is a joint venture between Raytheon and Thomson-CSF.

New architecture concepts for naval combat systems
Article Abstract:
Future concepts in naval combat system architecture will be based on operational aspects, such as new threats and missions, and technical aspects, including situation assessment, integrated communication, kill assessment, action planning and even ergonomics. Modularity is likely to be the key in such future designs. DCN Ingenierie's CCX21 and DOLPHIN are new concepts that can offer solutions for navies' combat system requirements.

ACSI awarded NATO ACCS contracts
Article Abstract:
Air Command Systems International, a 50/50 joint venture between Raytheon Co and Thomson-CSF, has landed contracts to supply four NATO AirCommand and Control Systems to Belgium, France, Germany and Italy. The contracts have a combined value of about $125 million and are in addition to a contract awarded to the company in Jul 1999 by the NATO Air Command and Control Management Agency.
