Australia announced an AUD100 million boost for the communications capabilities of its warships on 23 February 2006 under which the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) would receive new capabilities through two new communications upgrade projects for major surface ships. ADL Limited is selected as the preferred bidder for Phase 3 of Project SEA 1442.

Barrakuda technology advances
Article Abstract:
Images of the EADS Barrakuda stealth unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) demonstrator show that the company's work on stealth might have outperformed that of BAE Systems, Saab, and Dassault. The Barrakuda is larger, heavier, and a more sophisticated aircraft than the very small test vehicles of other European companies.
