Article Abstract:
A radical reshaping of Nepalese politics is possible with the end of a 14-month state of emergency in 2006 and a high level of coordination between Nepal's Maoists and the interim government. But the situation of a parallel administration run by the Maoists, their intention to contest to a constituent assembly and the unlikelihood of their permanent disarmament or integration into the state forces present hurdles in the peace process in Nepal.
