Article Abstract:
The different branches of the US Defense Dept has began increasing their advertising budgets for the year 2000 after missing their recruiting targets for 1999. The US Navy, Army, Air Force and even the Marines have began making their individual appeals for volunteer military service to the nation's youth more interesting. The Navy, for example, has began adapting a more MTV-like campaign that features real sailors talking about their lives at sea.
