European UAVs take off
Article Abstract:
The use and development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) by European nations are developing rapidly. By the 1980s, advances in control technologies and electrooptic cameras have resulted in the development of UAV systems capable of real-time battlefield surveillance and tank acquisition at corps/division level. The UK has the largest order for the UAVs but Germany has the distinction of having the most number of UAV options.
