Pressure builds on JSF partner countries
Article Abstract:
Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) partner countries will be committed to buy aircrafts after they sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the end of 2006 and will also be liable to financial penalty if they do not buy the aircrafts. In order to be able to make future bids on JSF work these companies will have to make immediate payments.

QDR confirms decline in fighter numbers
Article Abstract:
The Pentagon's Quadrennial Defense Review confirms a long-term decrease in fighter numbers and plans to develop a new bomber by 2018. The US Air Force has set a goal of increasing its long-range strike capabilities by 50 per cent and the penetrating component of long-range strike by a factor of five by 2025.
