Programmed for success: FCS advances towards historic milestones in 2006
Article Abstract:
The US Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) programme, consisting of manned and unmanned systems linked together by a common distributed network, has seen significant progress on multiple aspects, as illustrated by the FCS field experiment in April 2006. The Initial Preliminary Design Review confirms that the FCS programme is on track in 2006 in terms of schedule and costs, with its full capability expected to be delivered to soldiers in 2008.

US Army tests tactical vehicle upgrade
Article Abstract:
The US Army completed its second annual assessment of 89 different vehicle technology upgrades for potential application across the tactical wheeled vehicle fleet, under the designation of the Expedited Modernization Initiative Procedure (EMIP). Formerly dubbed the 'Truck Technology Rodeo', the EMIP was held at the Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona in January 2006.
