RAF Harrier support receives JUMP start
Article Abstract:
The official inauguration by the UK Ministry of Defense (MoD) of its Joint Upgrade and Maintenance Programme (JUMP) for its fleet of Harrier close-support aircraft is set to bring cost savings of 44 million pounds, and significantly improve aircraft availability for front-line squadrons. The Harrier JUMP facility is the first result of a top-to-bottom review of RAF's logistic organization, which has the objective of stripping away layers of duplication, to streamline processes and achieve cost savings, in terms of money spent and aircraft downtime.
