Ready for war
Article Abstract:
The 9-11 terrorist attacks have led to war, and that leaves Army commanders wondering if they have properly prepared their soldiers. Military success will come from confidence. There must be individual confidence; confidence in the squad, platoon, and company; and confidence in those who give orders.

Article Abstract:
The Iraq War, 2003, will provide lessons once the activity of the battles and the reactions by the Iraqis are examined in detail. The strategy used by the US seemed to be effective, but improvements will likely be determined. Surface analysis is provided.

The Army requires three times the staff required for current operations in order to maintain current deployments, be ready for new deployments, and have returning troops recovering from recent operations.
