Royal Navy withdraws from "Horizon" project
Article Abstract:
The UK Royal Navy has officially withdrawn its participation from the trinational "Horizon" Common New Generation Frigate. The UK Ministry of Defense said that it will instead shift to a national prime contract and seek the maximum benefit from collaboration over equipment for these ships. The MoD added that only a small amount of redesign will be needed because the British has retained a major influence over the hull and propulsion plant design.
