Russian/Indian carrier deal finally signed
Article Abstract:
Indian and Russian governments, after the longest and most complex negotiation process, signed the deal for the transfer and upgrade of the 45,000-tons Russian aircraft carrier, ADMIRAL GORSHKOV on 20 January 2004. The total amount of the deal is subdivided between about $650 million for the reconstruction of the ship and some $815 million for the air component.

New supersonic trainer flies in China

A new Chinese supersonic military aircraft, the supersonic advanced trainer FTc-2000, built by Gulzhou Aviation Industry Corporation (GAIC) made its maiden flight on December 13, 2003. This event highlights China's determination towards improving the quality of its weapon systems .
