Shaping the 21st century US Army
Article Abstract:
The strategic environment, national guidance, and operational requirements demand where the US Army forces conduct operations of a type, and duration that differ significantly from those of the past. The 21st century requires a force able to conduct sustained operations against several ongoing contingencies while remaining prepared to execute a number of deliberate war plans.
