The Army and Marine Corps warfighters operating in Iraq are receiving a new combat capability that places a high tech spin on an old tech concept. The new 120 mm M1028 canister round provides the Army and Marine Corps Abrams series tanks with an impressive blend of combat lethality and psychological deterrence against a broad array of 21st-century battlefield threats.

Unattended ground sensors

The US Army is in the process of fielding its first complete remotely monitored battlefield sensor system, version II (REMBASS II) unattended ground sensor (UGS) system, which provides a good opportunity to highlight recent activities in the UGS arena. The complete REMBASS II is designed to fit in two MOLLE packs.
