Submarine motion technology
Article Abstract:
Kollmorgen Aerospace and Defense Group (KADG) has developed a wide variety of technologies and products for submarines. ADG's Artus Division has developed two "high efficiency" electric propulsion sytems for torpedoes: one employing a 120KW counter-rotating DC brushless torque motor and the other a 100KW DC torque motor. The company's Inland Motor division has developed a variety for electronic drive systems for the Advanced SEAL Delivery Sytem, a long-range manned, battery-powered submersible. Meanwhile, ADG Industrial Drives has produced the GOLD-line drive systems for submersibles applications.
