Swedish mine countermeasures
Article Abstract:
The Swedish Mine Countermeasures force aim to determine the possible occurence of hostile mines and to reduce the danger of minelaying to protect its water territories. The unit uses different equipment to fulfill its missions. These include the LANDSORT Class MCMVs for minehunting, STYRSO MCMVs for minesweeping, self-propelled, acoustic magnetic minesweepers for remote operations and clearance divers.
