Political problems could seriously damage JSF's health
Article Abstract:
The Joint Strike Fighter's development could be stalled by political problems and a change of administration. The largest military aircraft program in history covers three variants, namely, carrier capable, conventional take-off and landing and short take-off and vertical landing. Boeing and Lockheed Martin are vying for the program, valued at US$150-200 billion, in a winner-takes-all strategy. However, delays in the launching of the program is foreseen with the uncertain defence policies of the next Washington administration.
