Article Abstract:
The U.S. Air Force issued a draft request for proposal for aerial refueler, and later indicated that the specifications will be revised to focus on the tanker, not transport capabilities, which favors the Boeing offering. Apparently, the winner of the competition will be based more on politics than on technical considerations, which clearly indicates Boeing.

Article Abstract:
The 1935 crash of Boeing's sleek, four-engine bomber, which was named as flying fortress or Model 299, set back the American airpower for years.
