Tevadis application will allow remote sensor network control
Article Abstract:
Thales Nederland has developed an update for its Squire covert battlefield surveillance radar that allows multiple units of this sensor, along with sensors of other electro-optical types to be integrated in an Internet Protocol (IP) based network. The update meant that one or more Square radars could be operated in an unattended, networked mode, being remotely controlled through an IP-based network (including the Internet) by an operator, who can in theory be located anywhere in the world.

Thales takes small step with CAPTAS sonar
Article Abstract:
A lightweight variant of the CAPTAS low-frequency active/passive anti-submarine warfare (ASW) sonar family that is suitable for use on smaller warships is developed by Thales Underwater Systems. The high cost, complex operation and significant ship impact associated with the existing system is unsatisfactory to potential customers, leading to Thales developing the CAPTAS variant that delivers good performance for a lower price, smaller size and improved operability.
