Vice-President Pratt and Whitney Military International Programmes, Gen. (Ret) Lloyd W. 'Fig' Newton, discussed several issues related to the international market for military aircraft engines and believes that his company besides looking for new technologies, adopts the policy of developing leadership within its people so that they in turn can lead in the market place. He also talks in detail about the Company's JT8D-219 propulsion system and the joint strike fighter programme.
