The National Museum of the Marine Corps
Article Abstract:
The design and the purpose behind the National Museum of the Marine Corps, which is the centerpiece of the Marine Corps Heritage Center, are described. The main purpose of the museum is to provide an opportunity for the Marine Corps to consolidate over 60,000 artifacts, documents and other memorabilia and give the public an opportunity to experience and understand the role the Marines have played throughout history and continue to play in the future.

Article Abstract:
The interactive boot camp exhibits, a part of the National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC), will be open to the public in 2006. The boot camp exhibit would allow the visitors to experience the Marines' life from boot camp through World War II (WWII), Korea and Vietnam and the museum is located adjacent to the Marine Corps Base Quantico.
