The "Priz" drama: Submarine rescue operations, Russian crisis management & technological consequences
Article Abstract:
The Russian mini submarine 'Priz' (AS-28) is a submarine rescue, research and 'spy' vehicle of the Russian Navy that was involved in some maintenance works at a listening device off the Kamchatka Peninsula on August 30, 2005, when it got caught with its propeller in the wires of the stationary antenna mash. The technological and procedural consequences raised during the rescue operations are discussed.
