A birthday celebration: The National Museum of the Marine Corps opens its doors this month

The National Museum of the Marine Corps (NMMC) is set for inauguration on 10 November 2006 and would be open to public on 12 November in Quantico, Virginia. The NMMC's mission is to preserve and exhibit the material history of the US Marine Corps, honor their commitment, accomplishments, and sacrifices, support recruitment, training, education and retention of Marines, and provide the public with a venue for the exploration of the Marine Corps history.

Pilot to pilot: Aviation peer-to-peer review: Working to reduce human error
Article Abstract:
The Marine Corps Commandant has issued a Policy Directive 1-05, called an aviation unit peer program, to increase Marine Corps aviation operational safety. Such pilot-to-pilot evaluation programs would help identify and reduce problems of human errors before they become incidents, aviation mishaps or fatalities.
