Article Abstract:
The Coast Guards, which were operating under the Navy Department during the World War II, were assigned the task of patrolling the approximately 3,500 miles of beaches and cliffs along the eastern and western seaboards to look out for saboteurs. The experience of catching a real German saboteur and his team by the Coast Guardsmen during the World War II is described.

The first day of 'The Battle of the Philippine Sea' is remembered as the day of the 'Great Marianas Turkey Shoot,' a day that cost the Japanese more than 300 aircraft. This date is well noted in naval aviation chronicles, it is also a milestone in the annals of the submarine force for entirely different reasons.

Herculean effort got Nautilus underway on nuclear power
Article Abstract:
Nautilus finally got "underway on nuclear power", after 10 years of research into reactor development and several challenges. Lessons learned from the construction of Nautilus forced the U.S navy and private industry to review and revise quality assurance processes.
