Top retiree issues: Health care, communications & education
Article Abstract:
The US Army Chief of Staff's (CSA) Retiree Council reported to the CSA after its annual meeting at the Pentagon on April 18-22, 2005 that health care, communications and education remained the Army retirees' primary concerns. The council recommended that the CSA continue to fund three issues a year of Army Echoes, and continue to resource the educational effort necessary to address retirement and retiree soldier programs, targeting those making military career decisions.

The Army Chief of Staff's Retiree Council concluded its 43rd meeting with a report to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA), citing health care and communication as retirees' two primary concerns. The council's communications goals include both facets of the Retirement Services mission-preparing soldiers and families for retirement and continuing to support retirees and families as part of the Army after retirement.
