The Copenhagen-based Underwater Weapons, Recognition and Signals School (URS) provided more than 16,000 student/days of instruction in 1999. URS classes include communications, recognition, antsubmarine weapons, mines and countermeasures, torpedoes, and ordnance disposal.

Sirius - patrolling the north

The Sirius dogsled patrol is the police force and Danish military presence in North East Greenland. Teams of 2 men and 11 dogs, in a 12-man deployment at Daneborg that lasts 2 years.
