A new era takes shape at Husky

Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd., a Bolton, Ontario-based manufacturer of molding systems, continues to expand as exemplified by the development of a new plant in Milton, VT. The company, which currently operates a plant in Toronto, Ontario, an in Dudelange, Luxembourg, employs around 150 people in the US facility, which is the first phase of the project. Husky posted C$45.9 million in profit for the fiscal year ended Jul. 31, 1998, as compared to the C$34.9 million in profit in the previous year.

CIBC to use less space in new Manhattan offices

CIBC World Markets Inc. is reducing the amount of space that it will use in its midtown Manhattan, New York offices. The firm is lowering the amount of space that it will use in the facility by over 50% as part of a downsizing of its U.S. operations.
