A top creative executive leaves Lowe Lintas as Burger King replaces it with McCann-Erickson

Lowe Lintas and Partners Worldwide has lost its top creative executive. Lee Garfinkel's departure comes just two months after Lowe Lintas was dropped from the ad account review by Burger King Corp., after serving the company as ad agency for almost seven years. The Burger King account was given to McCann-Erickson Worldwide Advertising.

Michael Greenless, CEO and president of Omnicom Group's TBWA Worldwide in New York City since 1998, is being replaced with Jean-Marie Dru. Greenlees is being let go because Omnicom is more carefully scrutinizing the performance of its agencies in the current economic downturn. Greenlees was also not linked in particular to any one client.

Executive VP and COO for North American operations at J. Walter Thompson ad agency, Mary Baglivo, is leaving the agency in mid-July 2001 to take the position of president at New York City-based Panoramic Communications. Ms. Baglivo will start at Panoramic in Aug. 2001 and is excited by the possibilities for growth at the agency, which is run by Chairman and CEO Jeb Brown. Panoramic is the new name for EPB Communications.
