AT&T pressures Rogers for higher wireless bid
Article Abstract:
AT&T Wireless Services Inc. is planning to market a $49 million share stake in Canadian cell phone company to institutional investors through two investment dealers CIBC World Markets Inc. and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. with help of security laws. This scheme has enabled AT&T to pressurize Rogers Wireless Communications Inc. which holds 55% of AT & T wireless company for a higher bid of above $36 a share.

SEC probes trading in shares of hot Net firm
