Article Abstract:
The federal cabinet supports the recommendation of the parliamentary committee to eliminate the restrictions on the foreign ownership of the cable television and telecommunications companies. The industry committee after a review of the issue as related to phone companies concluded that foreign ownership restrictions should be removed entirely and that the removal of restrictions be extended to cable TV companies.
