Hewlett-Packard supports Linux

Apple warns it will suffer a bruising
Article Abstract:
Apple Computer Corp announced on Sep 28, 2000 that its earnings for 4th qtr FY 2000 ending Sep 30 will be significantly lower than expected. The announcement sent Apple shares falling by 45% to close at $29.19. The company said that its profit for the quarter will be $110 million, or $0.30 to $0.33 a share, on revenue of $1.85 billon to $1.9 billion. It was expected to earn $0.45 a share in the quarter.
