After iMac, pressure mounts on Apple
Article Abstract:
Apple Computer Inc is under pressure to make a follow-up to the highly successful iMac personal computer. While analysts agree that the introduction of new products such as the Power Mac G4 Cube and a restyled mouse and keyboard could contribute to company sales, they believe that Apple will have to introduce a new product that will rival the iMac in 2001. Analysts cite the slowing sales of the iMac and the less-than- expected revenues in FY 2000's 3rd qtr as signs of a waning corporate revival.

Seeds of doubt sprout for Apple's future
Article Abstract:
Apple Computer Inc faces an uncertain future after its founder Steve Jobs warned that fourth-quarter profit for 2000 would fall short of expectations owing to poor sales in the education and European markets and low demand for the new Power Mac G4 Cube. Analysts are worried about the company's declining education and MacIntosh sales, lack of innovation for its iMac product line and a slowdown in personal computer sales.
