Air Canada puts Air Alliance up for sale
Article Abstract:
Air Canada has decided to sell off its regional carrier Air Alliance Inc. of Ste-Foy, Quebec, to an independent operator. Air Canada spokeswoman Priscille LeBlanc expressed hope that this other party would be able to convert Air Alliance into a commuter carrier using small and more efficient airplanes. Air Canada has hired RBC Dominion Securities Inc. of Toronto, Ontario, to set up the sale of Air Alliance since Air Canada itself does not know what the firm is worth, stated LeBlanc. However, Air Canada would like the buyer of Air Alliance to permit the carrier to remain within the Air Canada network.
