Airline prepares for strike fallout
Article Abstract:
US Airways is preparing for a strike that might result if it fails to reach an agreement with the Assn of Flight Attendants. US Airways has already lined up a $500 million credit in addition to the $870 million that it has had on hand since Jan 1, 2000. If US Airways does not get a contract from the organization by the deadline, it vows to shut down its operations. On the other hand, the union also promises to go on walkouts if it does not get a contract by deadline.
